We have a vast array of productions for the younger audience from our popular 45 minute KS1 interactive poetry production 'Playbook' and our nationally acclaimed 'Simply Shakespeare' workshops through to our Christmas pantomime and our ever popular interactive plays. We review and change our productions each year to bring new and exciting plays to our younger audience.

Our 'Simply Shakespeare' and 'Playbook' productions are available from May through to November. Our nursery, primary and middle schools seasons are January to July and November, December when we stage our Pantomime production.

Simply Shakespeare These 2 hour workshops are designed for children aged 5 to 10 years old. Every year we concentrate on two plays one which is always the ever popular 'Macbeth' the second featured play for 2001 is 'Romeo & Juliet'. These workshops are a blend of plain English and text mixed with drama and physical games. These innovative workshops are an ideal opening for a school to continue classwork after our departure. (We can supply follow up ideas and teacher led workshops at no extra cost.)
Adults often consider the works of Shakespeare unsuitable for primary/middle school work confining the study to secondary schools, however the basic principles of introducing Shakespeare to the under elevens are drawn from the heart of accepted primary practice, relying substantially upon storytelling, language work and drama activities.
These workshops are designed for children with little or no knowledge of the chosen play, all we ask prior to our visit is that children are given a limited introduction to the work.
