The commercial section of the company tour theatre productions for the enjoyment of the general public to theatres and arts centres nationwide, whilst also touring to rurual communities.

We pride ourselves on being able to perform in any venue and our ongoing policy to present professional theatre in non theatre venues means all of our productions can be performed in a variety of spaces whether you have stage facilities or not. In 1997 we staged a 2 hour musical production beneath the wings of a Lincoln Bomber for Cosford Aerospace Museum. (In partnership with The Wider Picture')

One of the company's strengths is that it produces high quality touring theatre at highly competitive prices, also the company is in the unique position to be able to offer packages of productions thus enabling venues to book two shows at a realistic price and therefore maximising on profits and audience numbers, by doing this Black Cat Theatre can reduce the costs of touring therefore passing this saving onto the consumer.

Our commercial productions for spring/summer 2002 will be: The Elves & The Shoemaker and Rent Arrears.
(Rent Arrears is a new work, this observational black comedy is suitable for ages 15 upwards.)

People often ask us how we can offer such high quality professional theatre at such realistic prices, our reply is simple: "At Black Cat we don't believe that high prices are an indication of high quality. Theatre should be accessible for all with realistic prices to encourage more people to enjoy the experience of it".
